By default when you create a new .gproject Windows have a basic layout with the most useful views. However you can create, save and load your own Windows layouts.
To save your current layout to a .glayout file
- Save your layout using 'Menu bar > File > Save Layout' file dialog.
To load your layout from a .glayout file
- Load your layout using 'Menu bar > File > Save Layout' file dialog.
Presets
It's also possible to save or load layouts to four different presets.
To save your current layout to preset 1, 2, 3 or 4
- Save your layout to preset 1 using 'Menu bar > Layout > Save Layout 1' or by pressing Ctrl+Shift+F1.
- Save your layout to preset 2 using 'Menu bar > Layout > Save Layout 2' or by pressing Ctrl+Shift+F2.
- Save your layout to preset 3 using 'Menu bar > Layout > Save Layout 3' or by pressing Ctrl+Shift+F3.
- Save your layout to preset 4 using 'Menu bar > Layout > Save Layout 4' or by pressing Ctrl+Shift+F4.
To load your preset layout 1, 2, 3 or 4
- Load your preset layout 1 using 'Menu bar > Layout > Load Layout 1' or by pressing Ctrl+F1.
- Load your preset layout 2 using 'Menu bar > Layout > Load Layout 2' or by pressing Ctrl+F2.
- Load your preset layout 3 using 'Menu bar > Layout > Load Layout 3' or by pressing Ctrl+F3.
- Load your preset layout 4 using 'Menu bar > Layout > Load Layout 4' or by pressing Ctrl+F4.
