problem time range with files .vdb

HI every one,

My shot goes from frame 101 to 423. I have a smoke (file .vdb) since frame 280. When i want to render frames 101 to 279, Guerilla says he can't render because the smoke are not present between frames 101 and 279.

How i can render frames 101 to 279 without delete the smoke node, please ? I don't want have two differents files for my shot !
Thanks !

Hi,

Can you try to animate the visibility of the vdb to hide it in the frame range where it doesn't exist?

Re: problem time range with files .vdb

I try, and it doesn't work... In the exe monitor, it's write:

"OpenVDB S010P010_smoke2_279 : IoError: could not get size of file Y:\Decharge\02
_PROD\02_SHOT\S010\P010\04_FX\03_EXPORT\smoke2\S010P010_smoke2_279.vdb
RiPrimitive 'S010P010_smoke2_280' in 'Y:/Decharge/02_PROD/02_SHOT/S010/P010/04_F
X/03_EXPORT/smoke2/S010P010_smoke2_279.vdb' can't be imported
OpenVDB S010P010_smoke_01_279 : IoError: could not get size of file Y:\Decharge\

Writing Y:/Decharge/02_PROD/02_SHOT/S010/P010/07_RENDERING/OUTPUT/S010P010_101_4
23_SMOKE1_279.exr
Writing Y:/Decharge/02_PROD/02_SHOT/S010/P010/07_RENDERING/OUTPUT/S010P010_101_4
23_SMOKE2_279.exr
Render RenderPass RP_S010P010: 57.4s
Total render: 57.4s"

I can see in my folder, he write the frame. But in deadline he retry to send the render...

Re: problem time range with files .vdb

Ok, so, in deadline i check "Override Task Error Limit" to 1. So all my frames are write in "Failed" in Deadline but, the frames are write...
Is not very usefull, you think there is an other solution ?
Thanks very much.

Marion.
