Performances

Hi folks,

In the incoming v0.13, you will enjoy a major performance gain. Small geometry like fur are rendering more than twice faster now and an overall performance gain has been noticed in most of the situations.

So stay tuned for the next release !

Re: Performances

Hi all,

Good news for the 0.13, Pascal explained me faster the new features... so great. One question, Ptex will be in the 0.13 ( I know you're working on it ) ?

And my last question, will be have a Linux x64 version too ?

Re: Performances

Hey Matt!

I can reply for the Linux version: obviously!
I'm now permanently working on the Linux version, so no doubt this version will be delivered!

Re: Performances

@MattRm
I use the linux version on ubuntu and fedora (Ubuntu at home ,fedora at work since a little bit more than 1 year at least ),
and it work like a charm now better than windows at least :p (Ok Shave n Hair cut is not working on the linux version)

Till this time i never open Windaube (Guerilla was the last reason for it :p)
It work very well on GNOME and Xmonad for sure, even better than Maya and Massive (Massive and Maya are not fully supported on xmonad but Guerilla work perfectly).
Sorry to be geek tongue but linux is my trip
By the way the linux guerilla installer is one of the simplest linux installer; even simpler than the houdini apprentice one.
"/./install" and that s it !
Take care
