Renders test

Hi, I'm back !

I'm testing the last guerilla version with a fast render.

http://uppix.3dvf.com/images/nUFod.jpg

It's just a test, I will make a better render and a final picture soon.

As you can see I have some issues with the back tire.

Re: Renders test

Good work ...
you can use very very low soft light to make the render contrast better
and use a intermesh in the front lights

Do you modeled this car yourself ?

Good Luck ...

Cheers

Re: Renders test

Yes, standart shaders, metal, diffuse, matte, glass etc. No tweaking.

Re: Renders test

I'm not sure at 100%, but I think this is not the new standard shader, you use the old microfacte

Re: Renders test

New test with the surface shader.

http://uppix.3dvf.com/images/UrWqs.jpg

As you can see, the chrome shader have a black reflexion with another chrome shader.
The area lights are black too.

The glass mat make a shadow and the sphere behind is occulted.

Re: Renders test

Hi guys,

In a not so far away release, the library will only contain 3 shaders, Surface, Curves and Volume.
The render graph library will be expanded with presets for usual materials, such as plastic, glass, metal, etc. But all in all, everything will use these 3 shaders.

You will still have the possibility to make your own shaders, hopefully. But trust me, you'll have a really hard time at keeping the shaders physically plausible and efficient.

Also, we'll make it possible to bind textures directly in the render graph in place of solid colors or numbers. For instance, You have an object which is a combination of plastic and metal, so you just have to expand the 'Metal' slider of the Surface into a texture, and set your texture path into it.
This should make it more simple for you guys to fully customize the shaders in a simple and elegant manner.

I'll try to post some updates about this soon, this is second on my todo list smile

What do you think of that?

Re: Renders test

Hey Pitiwazou,

Try to change your render pass settings Raytracing > Ray Filter from "No Caustics" to "Glossy Caustics".
Also, tag your shaders as "Shaded Shadows" and your lights with "Transparent shadows".

Re: Renders test

Hi !

I'm testing the last release of guerilla (0.17.0b5) and I have some issues as you can see on the picture.

http://uppix.3dvf.com/images/kEGaL.png

I still have issue on the light reflexion even with Glossy Caustics, shaded shadow and Transparent shadows.

I have an issue with the bump map too. If I plug a map in the normalbump node, the result is blanck. If I use a map in the node, I have my bump, but not in the render.

thx for your help

Re: Renders test

Je découvre les nouveaux shaders et la nouvelle version de guerilla comme vous pouvez le voir, donc c'est pas encore ça, mais je me fais plaisir avec ce soft, ça fait du bien !
