Only for maya

Somebody know a script who create multiple curves inside a polygon ?

This one for exemple create curves from edge around the polygon.

I don't know how to do this in Maya with polygons, but, if you model your hairdo with nurbs, it is exactly what the NurbsLock procedural will do in Guerilla..

Ok, so if I create some surfaces in nurbs, the NurbsLock procedural will create hair inside the nurbs ?

Question :

-It is possible to use a map for fadness or other ?
Because we have not the same number of hair on all the part of our head.

-What are the limitations ?

-Have you already use this technic on a character ? Have you some pictures ?

- If I use different nurbs with different number of spans, that will work ?

- Can I specify how many hair I want for each or single nurbs ?

- that's work with nurbs open on the height ?

- To work with this nurbslock, it's preferable tu use raytraced shadow ?

You have to model with nurbs, I think that's all.

Yes on the little prince tv show.

There is no texture control for the moment.

Use several procedurals nodes.

I think so.

The best is antialized shadow maps, to get some smooth shadows inside the hairs. In the 0.12, the raytracer is able to trace the curves and the procedurals so raytracing is another option.

Ok, I see !

It is possible to increase the number of hair in the procedural ? 1000 is really small.

That's work with plans nurbs like I did before and it will be good to have te possibility to make like multy strand in shave.
Because with plan, the hairs will be plane to, it's not realistic.

It's possible in guerilla to invert the direction of the nurbs ?
I made a mistake in maya and my nurbs is invert.

Hum, it is clamped in the script.

Open the script, and modify the 2 first lines

-- %param[Count,LUITypeUInt1K, 100]
-- %param[Subdivisions,LUITypeUInt100, 10]

with :

-- %param[Count,LUIPSTypeUInt, 100]
-- %param[Subdivisions,LUIPSTypeUInt, 10]

En fait, on a mme pas besoin de shave quand on y pense.
Pour des cheveux court, j'ai trouv une technique avec maya hair, donc aprs suffit de recup les courbes et d'utiliser le fur de guerilla.
Pour les cheveux long, on peut utiliser les nurbs hair.
On peut bien sur combiner les deux techniques avec le mme shader.

Donc, plus besoin de shave et c'est tant mieux, ce plug est une horreur !!

Yahouuuuuuuuuu !!

Bon, va falloir booster ces procedurales et crer un super shader de cheveux qui dchire sa maman !
