Hopefully i didn't have to modify my displacement maps since i used 3DCoat.
Basically voxel sculpting, retopo and then maps extraction .
When i was using ZBrush i used to modify my displacement of course.
Take care when you modifying your displacement maps, try to avoid to use photoshop cause it likes to add sRGB on 16-32 bit maps.
