yeti and guerilla pipeline
Hello,
We are actually in 5th year in MOPA (supinfocom Arles). We are rendering our movie with guerilla, creating the hair/fur in yeti.
I do not succed to get into guerilla the exact same hairdo i created.
Maybe i missunderstood the pipeline:
_I cach the hairs in the yeti Output, filling file name and frame range..
_With the guerilla plugin i do Export cache
I therefore get a .rib file and a ghostproject.
In my shaded character guerilla file: i drag and drop the ghostproject.
I create a curve node linked to the Hair ribbox (created automaticly when i dropped the ghostproject).
After doing this, it does render hair, but i cant control the width, color or number...
I didnt find a step by step tutorial for this so i'm sorry if what i did is totaly wrong, we are pretty new to this software.

Project in guerilla:

I would be very thankfull if you could describe the pipeline for yeti to guerilla export, even if it seems basic.
Thanks for all,
Marie

Hey Marie,
Did you tried to use the .fur file?
You can export it in the output tab of your yeti node.
Cheers.

Re: yeti and guerilla pipeline
Hi,
1) In Maya, bake your fur animation in fur files using Yeti.
2) Before exporting from Maya, uncheck the option "Yeti Node As Ribbox" in the Guerilla -> Export Cache -> Options window.
3) Export to Guerilla.
The Guerilla exporter will create a YetiNode and no more RibBox. It should render like in Maya.

Re: yeti and guerilla pipeline
Thanks a lot to both,
I have been able to re find my hairdo with the .fur File into the yeti node. Works fine to change density and width.
Thanks again.
Maybe...certainly...i'll come back for other problems due to my lack of knowledge.
Marie (the newbie who decided to make her whole diploma short movie on guerilla. Challenge accepted).
