easy layer texturing workflow
Hi,
Isnt there an artist friendly workflow for layering textures ?
If i have to layer 10-15 textures (trying to texture a land/terrain), is there a better and easy way to do it ?
currently i am using a tileable sand texture in X (of mix node), tileable grass texture in Y (of mix node) then cutting it with an alpha.
What if i have to add 10 more ? is it going to be the same process ? then do i add them all with the add node ? I tried this but the colors are going off due to adding.

Hi Satishs,
What about using UDims for your model, and put it in Mari and texture it with a single giant texture ?

Re: easy layer texturing workflow
Thanks for the reply,
But i want it layered so that i can have the freedom to tile it as required by the camera angle. If the grass, mud etc is all layered then in very close up i have to just tile the values of the tileable texture that going back to mari.
Regards.

Hi Satishs,
In this case, you'll have to blend them using Mix.
If you need to blend them additively, then you need to offset the added texture using Subtract.
