Voxels, again !

hello there,

I'm doing some tests with the new volume2 shader, with multiple scattering.

Explosion simulated in Pyro :

Houdini Rest coordinates works well with Guerilla voxel noise wink

Step size need  to be pretty small to catch all the grid details, but new reduce options for shadows and indirect are really nice !

New one, explosion simulated with PhoenixFD, exported in VDB.

I had to re-write VDB with houdini to make it work in Guerilla, but VDB export is's still beta feature on PhoenixFD side

Hey Paul !

Always on top man :-)

The explosions look great !

Did you try the "fake" multiscatter attributes to do your cloud ? (Light penetration, bounce, isotropy)

Does the adaptive sampling help to render such effects ?

Question, in the Volume 2.0, when I tried to use incandescence or temperature under linux (2.0.0b1) not works. An idea ?
